Supreme Court Cases
The highest court in the land, the U.S. Supreme Court, is about to return from its hiatus (break). Here are some of the cases that it is going to have on its docket inthe first few weeks:

The strip search is significant because why are they only doing it for those with minor offense if anything those with the most dangerous offenses should be striped and searched. That is stupid and should be further looked into. People dont think these days and bringing up new retarded rules.

I think that death row mistake and gay marriage is significant. I think death row mistake is significant because prisoners are dying just because their lawyer made a mistake or didnt file at the right time. Some prisoners dont deserve to die, they just need to be in jail for a while. i think gay marriage is significant because it should not matter if the same sex is getting married. I dont see what the problem is. As long as their happy, it should not matter

Death Row Mistake: Maples v. Thomas
This is one of those rare cases where the matter of innocence becomes momentarily insignificant. Here this individual is hoping to escape capital punishment and what does he discover? He has no legal representation. There are plenty of reasons to allow this to be fixed.
1. Maples had no prior notification of his loss of representation.
2. This being said Maples also has no power to move about the judicial system.
3. Due process of law guarantees us specific rights within the judicial system which would surely be violated should Maples not be allowed to continue his appeal.
Secondly is Gay Marriage
This has been an ongoing issue in the judicial, political, and social world for years and years and yet we still cannot move past this. I believe its about time. Its constantly being pushed to the back because people think its insignificant yet those who actually have to deal with it suffer because they are basically being ignored.

Arizona vs U.S.-I am sick and tired of people hopping the gate.But yet I do like their effort to work for cheap and do anything just to provide for their kids.With that being said if they hop over the border they should pay a hopping fee of 175 dollars and a sneaky fee of 200 dollars.Then they should seek for citizenship and we can have a good day.I don't really mind the border hopping its just these people get free educations and don't have to pay taxes which is a problem.If they want to stop border hopping set watch dogs along the fence or put electric 500 volt wire over top.Wait I have the solution they should apply for citizenship and when enough people in the us die a fraction of the people can come over.They have awesome work ethic and they are good people that make good food.Im sick of the gov't today.

Those sneaky feds gonna trace this guy .If he was dealing marijuana okay but crank nonono.Once people sniff they chase the feeling they first got but will never get it.The Obama admin should legalize weed because alot of Americans need to get high and escape all the non sense Obama is throwing at them today.

These court cases demonstrate the problems today.We should go back where we went wrong and fix this or America will turn into a war zone.The problem is the government has too much authority.Its like 1 person trying to take care of a school.If we don't stop now it will be to late.

All of the choices were very significant. Some of these topics are repeated and discussed on televison and the radio. The most important cases are electronic surveillance and death row mistake. Electronic surveillance is about a man being locked up for possession of drugs. Authorities did not have a warrant out for the man to invade his personal spcae. Even though he was guilty, the police were wrong for what they did. It is about time, the government is going to have a case this because this is just one of many unheard cases. Death row mistake is about a man who was put on death row and was injected with lethal poison. The judge thought that the man had a missed deadline to file a key appeal. The judge knew that the lawyer was responsible for this, but still did not give the man a chance turn in the papers. This is very important because the family was greatly affected by the loss of this man. The judge also deserves to be suspended for being very unreasonable for something that was out of this someone's control.

I think death row mistake is significant because prisoners are dying just because their lawyer made a mistake or didnt file at the right time. Some prisoners did not deserve to die, and some of the peoples crime did not even fit the crime that haves to be made to get issued the death row toll and then some people just need to be in jail for a while. This is very crucial because the family of this man was greatly affected and scared by the loss of this man. Strip Search Case:
The strip search case is very significant because why are they only strip searching those of which with only minor offense. I mean if anything those who have the most dangerous offenses should definitely be striped and searched. That is very foolish and should be further examined into because nothing really makes sense. People dont think logically these days and bringing up new retarded/unintelligent rules.
ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE: U.S. v. Jones
This case may decide or affect how police obtain warrants.They could start only allowing warrants if they were not tracked electronically in any way.Cops use something called bait cars to catch car thefts.There is a GPS tracker in the car to know its exact location.Could that to become unlawful just because they are tracking the car that way too?
PRISON STRIP SEARCHES: Florence v. Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Burlington, New Jersey
This is very significant when it comes to searches.Just because someone has committed and minor felony doesn't mean they are not armed or are carrying an illegal substance. It's not that they are searching you to take away your rights unlawfully.They are just making sure you do not have anything on you to harm you or anyone else.
The strip one I think is very important because that was not right to strip that man. I agree with his lawyer about searching him for a crime that was pretty much victimless. The other case I think is significant is the survellience one because that was wrong for the FBI To put a gps under his truck without a warrant. They went against his rights.

DEATH ROW MISTAKE: Maples v. Thomas
Is probably one of the most biggest court casses of this year because of the fact that it was a mistake and there is nothing that they can do about it,people should not take the fall because of there lawyers messed up and was not doing there job, and also the system is so messed up now that, you can get the death penalty even when your innocent.
GAY MARRIAGE: Various pending appeals from New York and California
Alot of people is going to have something to say about this case because alot of people feel that gay marriage should be band from everywhere and should not be legal but now that states have made it legal, now other states are stuck on what they want to do. People are all over the world protesting about this Gay Marriage and how they hate it and all that. I feel like why are people worried about gay marriage if they not the ones gay, you should not be worried about it and just mind your business and just big quiet

I Think death Row And Gay Marriage Is significant.
I Said Death Row Is Significant because someone lose their life over a mess up and you cant go back in time. I do not think people should do death row because of the simply facts judges makes mistake. It is not fair to that person to loss there lives even when they are innocent.
Gay Marriage is signicant because a lot of people has something to say about it. Gay marriage is now legal in 6 different states and in dc and now is thinking about going federal. i dont agree with gay marriage but i cant change it either and neither can other people. so if it does go federal people should go about their business it is not stopping you from living your life.

I think the strip search is significant because somebody committed a MINOR crime doesn't they are armed. For example, a person trespassing at a park that doesn't always mean they have a gun maybe they didn't have enough money to get in. My reason for saying this is because not everybody is going to have a weapon with them if they think they are going to get away with it like trespassing it was preplanned they knew what they we going to do how they were going to do it and if they were going to get away with it or not.
I think the death row was significant because people are getting the death penalty for something they DIDN'T do. For example, a group of friends try to kill a somebody very important but one friend doesn't want to do it but stays so the other friends kills that very important person and they get caught even though that one friend didn't do anything he stills gets the death penalty for being with them. My reason for saying this is because people who don't have anything to do with a crime still get punished because somebody thought the did it

PRISON STRIP SEARCHES:
The reason why this case is a bit more important because, as said in the case, the man was subjected to a strip search...for PARKING TICKETS. Not only are strip searches humiliating, they are demeaning; making it seem as if you have no rights. Another example could be that a dirty cop could pull over a male/female, and strip search them for 'speeding.'
GAY MARRIAGE:
Why is this even a case? Why does love have to have a law so that the two individuals can have the same rights as others?
But I digress, this case is also important because, as said in the article, "Does a voter-approved state initiative defining marriage as only between one man and one woman violate the civil rights of same-sex couples? What happens when state or federal officials refuse to defend such laws?" when officials refuse to defend our laws, it's almost as if they are ignoring us.

Death Row Mistake - I don't think it's fair to give the person a lethal injection if they haven't had the chance to make up or refile their claim in their point of view, instead of people automatically giving them lethal injection after doing something bad without giving them the degree of how bad the situation is. The Supreme Court should solve this because people making a minor offence should not be given the lethal injection.

Prison Strip Searches - I think it's wrong to go for a strip search, whatever the crime was. Jail officers shouldn't be automatically thinking, "Oh. he/she did this. Let's find them now & lock them up." It can't be like that. There are other ways of resolving this. They can resolve this such as calling them, meeting in person to talk, etc. The Supreme Court should resolve this matter because innocent people can't go to jail. Officers should take responsibility by talking to the "criminal(s)" before assuming a false accusation.
I think the two cases that were significant is the Electronic Surveillance and Health Care Feform. Electronic Surveillance was significant because they search the man without a legal search warrant and they had a GPS in his car. The GPS eventually tracked him and he got caught with illegal things and cash and now he's in prison for life. Lets say that the police pulled you over they can't search your car unless they have a legal and proper search warrant. The Health Care Reform was significant because twenty-eight states and dozens of private plaintiffs have sued to stop enforcements. They also said that they have to have purchase health insurance by 2014 or face the financial penalties. Lets say you can't afford health care then you going to be short. People need health care because some people can't afford insurance so it's going to help them.
the Us Vs jones case to me is the most important because that case will be brought forth in fornt of the media the most because of the aspect of human rights. the controversie in this case is because jones had a gps system placed in his car by law enforcement with out his knowledge.

okay sooo I read a couple of them and there are some that i think are n=more important than others. Such as the immagration thing and "mexicans" being our biggest immagration problems, but in reality oh ..wiat FACT! this is their land i mean no all of it but south western region oh yeah...so i don't really think it is an issue that should be pressed nor do I think that states should be able to make laws on it Arizona Vs. U.S. ...Hello and that should be Alabama umm that is sooo violating the bills of right! the umm I believe fifth amendment but im not too sure but NO totally uncalled for ugh!. Okay and then the murder case I dont't remeber what it was called but like for killing his two companions. Well me personally I don't believe human being should decide who gets to live and who gets to die so i don't believe in it whether it's the lethal injection or what ever because I do believe what goes around comes back around . But any ways. And i really think the U.S. Vs. Jones well I kinda just know that He is going to win that case because it's plain obvious and simple that the FBI broke the law and there should be no If, Ands , or Buts about it like personally i don;'t think the case should be heard because if your going to be a police officer or an agent or anyform of law enforcer well you need to know the laws. law enforcers need to know their restrictions and boundaries. The lawyer is just so very unprofessional and trifalin !! but anyways yeah!the Gay marriage is also a big issuse but I don't know Maybe it should be turned into a federal affair! They are mostly topics that need to be reviewed but some of the could simply just be done with and given a decision or simply dismissed.

I think that death row mistake and gay marriage is significant, because the death row mistake is unpredictable. It isn't always accurate,but they continue to go by it with their knowings of what maybe can happen. Basically they are killing prisoners themselves,and gay marriage shouldn't matter because if a person feels that them being gay makes them happy then they should have that freedom and power to be gay.
