Objective: Students will develop a museum that will introduce the general public to a topic that is considered a Social Issue. It will start with explaining how the issue developed, explain how it has evolved over time, discuss how it is being handled, and provide ways for the community to get involved
Directions: Select a Social Issue that we have talked about and decide what type of information you would put in a museum about this topic.
Submit:
1. A floor plan diagram OR a shoe box diorama OR an edmodo video (http://pgcps.edmodo.com/) that shows the floor plan of how the museum would be laid out and what type of info would be in the museum.
a. Should be detailed, colorful, and creative!! J
2. A typed presentation that tells me exactly what you would have in each room of the museum. YOUR MUSEUM MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5 ROOMS.
a. Explain why you would include the information in each room.
b. Why is it needed to teach your issue???
Ex:
Topics to Choose From: Religious discrimination, poverty, gender discrimination, crime, healthcare, organ/body donation, assisted suicide, outsourcing, homosexual/transgender rights, education.
