Obama Defends Attacks On Romney's Work At Bain http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/05/21/following-cory-booker-criticisms-a-struggle-to-define-whats-fair-game/?ref=politics
In this article President Obama defends the attacks against Mitt Romney. He was asked basically if some of his allies were reliable due to the Bain attacks. President Obama stated that "this is not a distraction". He feels that this is normal & that issues like this is what this campaign is going to be about. He also spoke on how Romney has different ways of going about his work. These events happened during a news conference at the end of NATO summit in Chicago On Monday. I agree with President Obama when he says things like this are normal during a campaign. I feel like people are turning this incident into something bigger which is whats making it a distraction.
Obama:Romney's Bain record is fair game-CNN
Obama's team has been trying to bash Mitt Romney and his company Bain Capital. Obama's team has hammered in on Romney accusing him of being a greedy businessman. This resembles an attack that former republican candidates used in Romney during the debates. A newark, New Jersey, Mayor thinks this topic should be off limits.
I've learned that during election things do get personal. I also think Obama is nervous about Romney being favorited

In this Article Obama campaign salutes the anniversary of Mit Romney's health care law The world is saying That President Obama was wrong to impose a one-size-fits-all plan for the nation on healthcare. Obamacare is bad policy and it's bad law. My opinion about this article is that president obama is doing good, just by showing his competition that he is a fair person. there is nothing i've really learned from reading this article , but i acknowledge obama courtesy about the campaign.

Wonkbook - Obama's Gay Marriage Bump
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/post/wonkbook-obamas-gay-marriage-bump/2012/05/22/gIQAMyZlhU_blog.html
This Article is about Obama's Endorsement to gay marriage. Obama went in the White House Briefing Room and live on T.V. Supported gay marriage. Is this a trick to get his votes to go up or is he really supportive. Well either way it put him 1.5% up in the voting polls as of May 21, 2012. On May 9, 2012 Obama had 0.2% lead in the RCP head to head average. Now since coming out for Gay Marriage his numbers went up. Now We Have TO Wait and see with More superPAC Fundraising be in Obama's future.
I Learned that Obama is now openly supporting Gay Marriage Movement. My opinion on the Whole thing is Does he really want to endorse gay marriage or does he just want to be president again. Dont get me wrong I Want him to be Re-elected but for the right reasons not for the wrong reason or for lies.
Obama Camp Shot Itself in the Foot on Bain Capital

This article talks about Mitt Romney's and Barack Obama's standing in the presidential election. Barack Obama's team messed up his Bain strategy and bought his ratings down. Afterwards Mitt had a chance to tie the election, but the president's off-message surrogates scrambled this offensive before it could leave the editing room. This took place at the Bain Capital on Monday May 23, 2012. I learned that running for president is hard and challenging but with the right help you can have a better chance of succeeding and or winning the election. My opinion is that each of them are good candidates and it may be hard to chose between the two each them has a high standing in the race so it may come close.
Polls: Obama ahead of Romney in Wisconsin
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/05/24/polls-obama-ahead-of-romney-in-wisconsin/
Date Published: 5-24-2012
This article talks about how Obama is ahead of Mitt Romney polls in Wisconsin. This Poll was collected yesterday 5-24-2012 at Norbert College/Wisconsin Public radio survey. Even though Obama was ahead of Romney other people didnt vote at all for both of them they just didnt vote so if those people voted it couldve made a totally different percentage. I learned that people that dont vote really makes a big difference in polls and that can help and hurt candidates running. I believe that everyone shouldve voted just so we could see the percentages in Wisconsin the whole 100% not just 92%.

President Obama is involved what happened was that President Obama said aggressive things about Mitt Romney so that more people will reelect him for president. This happened on President Obama's last two days of his speeches. What caused this to happen was that President Obama was commenting on things that Mitt Romney said in his speeches that he didn't agree with. i learned that President Obama did something similar to what President Bush did and other preisdents did in the past. My opinion is that President Obama is going at Mitt Romney because he wants to be reelected as president
Washington Post: Romney stories show there is life beyond high school,05/25/2012.
This article is about whether or not a candidates high school days are worth mentioning during an election. Mitt Romney’s days at an exclusive Michigan prep school were discussed in an article last week. The article mentioned Romney holding down a student presumed gay and cutting his hair as said by a witness. I learned from this article that if you go into the history of someone you find pure and inspirational you may come to discover that they have a discouraging past. In my opinion I think it is necessary to look through candidates high school lives because they may have shown signs of shameful activity and I think that's something to be aware of when this person has an opportunity to be leader of our nation.

Washington Post, May 25, 2012: Romney holds key advantages among financially struggling white voters
Romney has an advantage over President Obama among the white voters who are struggling financially. The middle-class white voters who are struggling financially chose Romney over Obama. This happened back in 2008. Whites and nonwhites say that Romney will do more than Obama to advocate for the economic interests of wealthy Americans.

Title: CNN,Published Friday May 25th
In this article about the current election they are discussing how Obama and Romney are in all out war against each other five months before election. They have been trying there hardest to dig dirt on each other so they can gain more votes. This has been going on for the past couple of weeks now. Since the election is coming closer they feel the need to do whatever they can to get votes. This is taking place in the United States. I learned that the presidential race is serious and they will do anything for votes. I think the competiveness is good for politics.

Romney picks up Kentucky, Arkansas – Obama struggles in both
Title:Election Central, Published May 23, 2012, Website: http://www.2012presidentialelectionnews.com/2012/05/romney-picks-up-kentucky-arkansas-obama-struggles-in-both/
This article is between Mitt Romeny and Barrack Obama. This article talks about how Mitt Romney clenches Arkansas and Kentucky for the nomination and how Obama struggled in 2008's election between John Mccain. This takes place on May 22nd 2012 in Arkansas and Kentucky.
I learned that Mitt Romney is getting closer to being the nominated candidate for the republicans. In my opinion i believe that no matter how many delegates Mitt Romney gets he may not be able to beat Barrack Obama.

The article is from cnn.com and was published May 25, 2012 at 3:02 pm.
The article involves Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. It talks about how some negative campaigning is taking place early on order to win votes. This event is taking place across the nation with campaigning. This is such a surprise because its taking place more than five months before the election is taking place. I would not say this is very unexpected but I do believe it should stop before things get out of hand between the two. I learned from reading this article that people really will do anything to win on any level of competition
"Afghanistan getting better at vetting recruits, general says"
The commanding Marine general in one of Afghanistan’s hardest-fought regions said Friday he is seeing big improvements in the vetting of Afghan recruits to the country’s security forces following attacks by Afghan soldiers on their NATO partners. There have been about 20 deadly attacks by Afghans in uniform on their NATO partners this year, including one May 6 that left one Marine dead and another wounded. The shooting, in which the Afghan soldier was killed in return fire by coalition troops, marked the second recent killing of a U.S. Marine in Helmand by an Afghan soldier. The coalition does not report attacks in which an Afghan security force member wounds or misses his U.S. or allied target. Persistent violence and the insider attacks have undermined President Barack Obama’s efforts to show progress in stabilizing Afghanistan. They also have raised the level of mistrust between the U.S.-led coalition and its Afghan partners as NATO prepares to hand over the security reins to local forces ahead of a 2014 deadline for the withdrawal of combat troops.

Title: Early attacks signal a nasty presidential race
*This article took place in Iowa on Thursday, May 24th, 2012.
The article is about Obama and his circuit surrogates attacking Romney.
Romney focused only on gaining more profit than what was best for the country. More profit leads to problems such as lay-offs and bank productive companies.
In response to Romney's attack, Obama's policies failed and broke promises and deficits to create jobs.
The competition is getting nasty earlier than expected. Those reasons were: Super PAC's ads and funding with both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. The reason why was: 1) PAC's to try to influence battle grounds states such as Pennsylvania and Virginia and 2) Super PAC's are trying to win votes early.
~ I learned that candidates are already beginning to use tactics in order to gain votes and win the election.
My opinion is that candidates should try to get votes in a more peaceful matter by focusing more on their campaign than on attacking the other candidate.
Obama, Romney try to play it safe in 2012 gamble. By NANCY BENAC
Currently as the 2012 elections near closer there is a LACK of spice and an increase of tension. Neither Obama or Romney are using tricks, zest, charm, or great bouts of propaganda nor choosing to support major political plans. Lately, its a slippery slope to not lose the votes that they have and each candidate for President is trying to NOT mess up or mess with a major issue. However the article reveals that this uptight attitude between the presidential candidates and their wives lacks "sincerity", but still admit risks are very damaging. I learned how hard it is to run for an important office and how at a certain point propaganda and tricks run out and its all up to the voter. I believe that they need to develop a less "cold" cabal so that they may succeed in the elections.

http://www.usnews.com/topics/subjects/2012-presidential-election 2012 presidential election barack obama may have a tough re election with him saying that he wants change but the type of change that has happened since he has been in office like the increse in unemployment rate and debt . he has passed the health care bill and took out the 1 most wanted terrorist btu it has not really helped the country and people are not being concerned about thier future with obama in office. alot of republican canidates are coming up and cant be counted out the race and its not too late for more to still come so obama will have to hve a strong team good points and a strong campaigne if he plans to still be in office for the next four years

Obama vs. Romney: 'World War III" for attack ads. But is that bad?
Article published May 24, 2012
This article revolves around Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. It says that they are putting out negative ads against each other with only 5 months left until election day. These attack ads aren't necessarily bad for everyone. It can however change voter perception. In the article it says "Ms. Jamieson agrees that attack ads serve a purpose in helping voters select someone to support, filling out the spaces that might otherwise remain blank in a candidate’s résumé or stump speeches. In my opinion attack ads are just unnecessary. I wouldn't focus too much on destroying my opponent, but on making my campaign better.

Early attacks signal a nasty presidential race(CNN)

Fri May 25, 2012
In Iowa on Thursday(May 24) President Barrack Obama brought up a strain of criticism to republican opponent Mitt Romney accusing him of twisting the words of himself and Obama. Obama also addressed the problems we are facing right like how hard work does not mean higher incomes or bigger profits don't lead to better jobs. Both Obama and Romney are engaging each other with strong rhetorical attacks and speeches as the 5 months before votes are cast drawn closer.
What I learned from this is how rhetorical tactics and strategies can be used to attack your opponent(verbally) while appealing to the audience. While also both candidates are addressing what the other has failed to do or yet to do to improve the economy.
In my opinion rhetorically attacking each other is a great way to bring more people in favor of you and gain more potential votes. To me it seems like Obama highlighted some Romney more crucial flaws in his rhetoric attacks.
In This Article, It Involves Mitt Romney And A Representative From The House Of Democrat's Named Xavier Becerra. He Said That Mitt Romney's "Latino Problem" Is Similar To Alcoholism. He Also Said That He Need To Go Somewhere Where He Could Get His Problem Fixed. This Comment Happened Friday May 25. This Happened Because When Mitt Romney Can't Win Over The Votes Of Latino's. I Learned This From The Washington Post.

How Facebook's Zucked-up IPO just killed the tech bubble
It was supposed to be the mother of all tech IPOs. Instead of fueling an explosion of dot-com-style madness, Facebook's tepid IPO has kiboshed the nascent tech bubble, at least for now. Before last Friday, many thought that Facebook's much-hyped IPO might trigger a reprise of the Internet mania unleashed by Netscape's 1995 public offering. And just as in the run-up to the great tech bust, some saw history repeating itself, what with animal spirits convincing venture investors to award $1.5 billion valuations to cash-burning startups with TBD business models.I learned that you cant trust many people in ur daily life no matter what.
