I am not sure how America should go about it's involvement in Syria because then association would occur in matters of politics. But dictatorships in countries usually don't work out for the economy or the people because they are very oppressed. So I think assistance by indirect means would be beneficial and possibly guarantee Syria as an ally in the future.
The United States involvement in Syria could be positive towards our countries war on terror. In the news article link connected to this topic, Syria is said to have close ties to Iran. Iran has shown to be great proponent against the U.S. and suggests to threaten the American way of life. Any allied parties, such as Syria, may take part in plotting against this nation. Hence, if we can shift the government of Syria in our favor, then we weaken our enemies forces. However, sudden actions towards an Iranian ally can hinder the United States efforts to keep peace in the Middle East. Senator John McCain(Florida) and Senator Lindsey Graham(South Carolina) exclaimed in the news link above; "the Syrian citizens should have a right to defend themselves." Incidentally, in my opinion, the Syrian people should look towards foreign allies to ad in their endeavor. The Iranian ally supports the minority Shiite group of government. Which in turn does not go over with the majority of citizens not willing to cooperate under President Bashar Al Assad's rule.
Well if the U.S gets involved we could possibly get Syrian to become a close ally so if we were to ever fight Iran we will have somone on our side, but the if we get in their way and don't favor with what Syrian wants then this can also become a problem that we have to deal with as well with Iran.

Michael West 4A It does not matter what the u.s. does for Syrian because we do not really associate with them. I we do help them they can help us when we are needed, so its not really our problem.

a positive would be that there would be one less communist/ dictator government to deal with and no possible terrorist group could come about. also if the U.S. resolves the problem then it will result in the dispantion of the bad names given to the U.S. over time.
Some negatives would be, the Syrian government has an armada waiting to attack who ever helps the Syrian people. Also the U.S. might be noted by other countries as not being able to mind their own business and other countries might start giving the U.S. the cold shoulder.
Number 1 the last 2 times U.S got involved with something that they had no busy getting into Iraq and Somila happen. The 2 senators are just like Bush. They know we have the power to invade someone and no one will stop them. When Cliton sent troops to Somila they got there butts kick to be nice with it. Why do so many people always want to go fight all the time. How about we send them into the places where they want to go and give them M16's and combat gear and tell them to go fight it themselfs. Stop using 18 and 20 years old men to fight it for them. Go do it your self if you want it bad enough.

i think we should help syria because if we help them they'll pay us back with help and u.s. could use help from syria. and if an attack comes on u.s. syria could sen support to help us out. jamal hailey 2B
i think we should help them because it would be the nice thing to do and i think if we help them now maybe we might need help later on in the future and they could help us

#Donaldmoore period4a from my prespective U.s Should not help syria because Syria relies on Iran for financial and military support. But if we do help them i think it would Kinda Benefit Us, in Government support
America should help Syria because then association would occur in matters of politics. Syria would be able to repay us for any help we need.

I believe that the United states would be making a positive impact if they help syria because for future references if we run into trouble tthey should and would be there, but the negative is they are being supported by iran and they may be able to persuade syria to do wron against us at any point in time. I think that our country shhould just stay out of the situation because they have other worries and we would'nt want syria or Iran coming after us.
From the article, the positive consequences of getting involved in Syria could be that America might be able to form an alliance with Syria or Syria would be able to gain their country back and gaining a better person for president. The negative consequences of getting involved in Syria could be that Syria might be taken over with other countries around it or America would be pushed into war with Syria. The two Senators feel we should get involved with Syria could be because of the people in Syria have no power and being killed and the Senators might believe that these people would need to defend themselves. I believe the people of Syria are in trouble if they're not able to take down the dictator and find a way to win over the government and maybe America might be able to help, but it would be risky for starting war.
I dont think united states should get invovled with syria because united states isnt fully develop, we still need help and our economy is bad, so what makes them think they could help out syria.I think the 2 senators feel like they should get invovled because they feel as though syria is weak the people arent strong enough to over come.I feel like they want to gain strength only to show how they can make it seem like there doing something big, when they need help.Danielle May 1a
I believe that we should stay to ourselves. We have a great deal of problems in our own country. We can't afford to help them.

I feel that american should not get involved, because this can make our relationship with iranians worst then it already is. It can start an arrays of many wars. They feel as if they should get involved, because we would be able to defeat iran easier, because syria is close to iran. I think that we should not involved ourselves, because it can put danger on american and cost us a lot of money.

I don't think we should get involved. It's just going to causes more problems. "They're planning to arm Syrian Forces." Who's to say the Syrians wont attack us next hence every other country hates us. We're just adding fuel to the fire so that America can have another war, because that's all we do here, start wars.
I think it will be nice to help Syria because if one day we might need help they can help us out but at the same time i dont think that it would be a good idea to help them because it might become a series problem. The 2 senators think that we should get involved because it would be a good way to become closer with them.
A positive in this situation would be that we are helping people who are defenseless out. A negative would be that we would be getting in the middle of this problem, and probably cause problems for ourselves. And we have had enough problems because we just got our troops out of a war. The two senators feel that we should get involved because the people on the opposing team need help rising against the government. I believe that we should stay out of this situation because we have had enough problems as it is and we don't need more.
to be honest i dont think we should help them out only because we have enough things on our case. Some times America needs to mind there on damn business for one. And for two nobody helps us when we need help. and thats there own battle so let them fight it.

I think This is a good thing. The U.S. already owes other countries alot of money. They need a good relationship with another country just in case they need assistnance. On the other hand, Syria's problems would add on to ours. The 2 senators want us to get involved in order for us to get close to them.

If the U.S gets involved we could possibly get Syrian to become a close ally. I think that will be a good thing. We owe alot of money to other countries, maybe Syria can help us with our debt.
I think it will be quite cordial for the United States to help Syria at the time of need especially since they have such a terrible rule under the dictator I'm not sure if many people will be behind the Senators helping the country but since right United States of America and we do like to help people why not?...josh.w 3b
some of the positive consequences of getting involved is that it would stop the kills of the citizens that didn't have anything to do with it. the negative consequences of the us getting involved is that they could come to the us and attack us. the 2 senators feel like we should get involved because they feel like we can stop everything that has been going on over there. my opinion is that they don't go to syria because they can come and attack they us and start another war and they we have people in iraq and in syria fighting Deaunte Watson 4A
the united states helping could be helpful because if we get their president out then when we need help in war they will come help us since we helped them the negative is when we try to help they might not think we are helping them we are hurting so it might start a war between us . i think we should not help because the united states is always in someone elses business and it puts our citizens in danger so i think the usa shouldnt help unless they personally ask for help

1. What are some of the positive and negative consequences of getting involved in Syria?
Getting involved in Syria would get those weapons of mass destruction out of the hands of the bad guys. On the other hand, getting involved would cost money that we don't have.
2. Why do the 2 Senators feel we should get involved?
The 2 senators feel that we should get involved because they have a warrior's mentality and think solely on that. Getting the enemy out of the way by physical means.
3.What is your opinion?
This country had just finish a war with another country. It's terribly deep in debt and can't afford to fight another war. The thing most Americans don't understand is that war is mainly about money. Even though we have soldiers fighting for us, it all comes down to money. And we don't have that kind of money to risk this.
I don't even think Syria wants help or at least from the United States. Nobody is going to want any help from the United States as long as they have impostors in the White House.
I really don't know how America Should Go About This Because I Can Understand Why They Asked Us For Help Because We The The Most Powerful Nation In The World But Also If We Help Them And We Succeed On The Mission Then They Can Also Betray Us. So It's Up To The 2 Two Senates On This 1.
I believe that while the United States involvement in Syria may not entirely be our duty to police the world, it would help gain Syrian forces as allies and deal a blow to Iran's control over them. With Syria as allies, future ventures into the Middle East will be met with their support. It would also help to diminish Iranian control in that country,as Iran is one of the opposing forces against the United States. The senators want to aid Syria for this reason as Iran has been rumored to be a nuclear threat and the United States would want to reduce their influence in the Middle East.

two positive results for being involved with syria is that we can help prevent rebel chaos and we can provide aid and protection. two negative effects is that being involved with syria can cause more war mess since its above iraq and it also risk more troops sent to danger there.
From this article, the positive consequences of getting involved in Syria could be that America might be able to form/become an alliance with Syria or Syria would be able to gain their country back and gaining a better person for president that doesn’t believe in help plotting against America. But the negative consequences of getting involved in Syria could be that Syria might be taken over with other countries around it or America would be pushed into war with Syria because we have gotten in something that they think we shouldn’t have help fix. I think the two Senators feel we should get involved with Syria, could be because of the people in Syria have no power and are being killed for what we call unconstitutional reason and the Senators might believe that these people would need to be defend themselves. I believe the people of Syria are in trouble if they're not able to take down the dictator and find a way to win over the government and maybe America just might be that help they need, but it would be risky for starting war over in Syria, also they could betray us by plotting with Iran in attacking us begind our back.

No I don't the U.S should get involved because if that country don't like what the U.S is doing for them it can start A war between us. Also if they help them is can be a good turn out but I just don't think they should get involved. And I them McBites. Cain Should mine his business cause her really don't care bout the U.S or our decisions.
i think The United States being involved in Syria could be positive towards us , with the whole war thing. i say this because it says Syria is said to have close ties to Iran. & that could make us close with Iran . & also it could resolve the problems between the countries. But also Some negatives that could happen would be that, the Syrian government has an armada just waiting to attack who ever helps the Syrian people.and we wouldn't want another war , & Also the U.S. is known for being nosy ,minding others business and that can make the might being able to mind their own business and that can make the Syrian government not want nothing to do with the US.
I think that US should get involve because if we later have problems, they'll want to help us for helping them. However, Syria depend on Iran for certain things, and we are against them. The 2 senators feel that we should get involved because we can become a hero towards them if they do overthrow him. I think that we should help them because we're known for minding other peoples business, so why not just be known for being a hero instead?

Yes,we should help Syria.Because we need to show that the U.S. is not a selfish country and redeem ourselves for being evil in past.Just to begin a world pease notion.Which would show a great example for my generation, who hasn't seen a great deal of world peace.
