There are so few wealthy people in the U.S. and so many more in the lower/middle class. Why do we keep electing the wealthiest men to lead and represent our country? Do you think they really identify with the average American? What makes them qualified to represent all American citizens? Remember to use quotes from the text to support your responses.

I feel that people choose the wealthiest men to to lead and represent our country because of their level of education and maybe because they feel that they are better fir to represent our country. No I do not feel that they identify with the average american because they can't really relate to the struggles of an average america who lives in lower/middle class, most candidates today talk about doing stuff that mostly help the rich or upper class. I think people feel he is qualified to represent all american citizens because of his ability to manage and produce money.

People continue to vote in wealthy people because they are the ones that are heard. When a person has money they can have campaigns from the Atlantic to the Pacific. So those in far away states can hear more about the rich Kentucky candidate rather than the middle class Maryland candidate. These rich people for a majority of the time can't identify with the middle/poor class, but realizes there are problems in those classes. "After all, even in the rarefied world of the top 1 percent, there's a big difference between life at the top and at the bottom." Also a rich person "seems" qualified to lead a business or society because they had to get rich through some type of work. Obama worked very hard to get to his financial status and the voters know that people like him are qualified to understand and take care of their problems.

People vote on the riches becaus they are heard more and seen more. They are able to fund more than other and people like when they can interact. Another reason can be that people love money so if the president was rich they can fund communities to help. No one would want a broke person that maybe under pressure the want someone to lead a country strong. Michael West 4A

People elect wealthy men to lead because they have intelligents and they worked hard all through out there life to get to get where they are today.rich people dont identify with average americans the lower and middle classes go through struggles or have to work there but of to get where the rich people are.for example Obama worked his butt of to be in a higher level people know that he is intelligent enough to be qualified to be a president and understand what we go through to help us with are problems.

I think people elect the wealthiest candidates because they may think that since they have money to spare they'll be more able to help the country not just economically wise but also improve our school and technology, etc. i do think they can identify because they had to work their way up to where they are. Some may be born into it but their positions were't. So in a way they can relate. zi feel that they think he's qualified because of his ability to manage and produce money.

I Think They Choose The Weathiest Persons Because They Might Seem More Fit To Run a Country Or Maybe Because They Might Be Wealthy But I Do Not Think They Can Relate To Any Other American Because They Wouldnt Understand What It Would Be Like Too Live Poorly I Don't Even Think They Would Last Ling Long If They Tried It.

In my opinion i think people may continue to vote for the wealthier ones because they may have more to offer, they have money to help enforce or create laws, and arrange to win different elections. They may also be more experienced and know what out country needs. Although they do have money, There are pros and cons of a wealthy individual. Because they are wealthy they might feel they're better than most low and middle class people.

I feel as though choosing the richest president is not a;ways the right president. You should choose your president on his moral values and level of education.

We keep electing rich presidents because those that are more poor cannot advertise. They cannot broadcast themselves to get known. They do not identify the average American since they never experience the hardships involved with being average. Their education qualifies them to represent all American citizens. However they cannot relate to them.

People do elect based on income. Voters vote based on race. I think people are blind by money and the color of ones skin. When I get to vote I will really pay close attention to who the right pick is. People also get carried away in voting for whoever their friends or family members are voting for. I don't know why but we do think wealthier people are the greatest people walking the earth. Once again that's sad but true. To me your money does not determine how much knowledge you have.

The people of this country might be electing the wealthiest men to lead and represent this country because the people might be able to help the country economicly and maybe wouldn't need the money of the country to help the country. The wealthy men might identity with the country if some of these men started off poor or in an average home while some of these men could have been born into a wealthy home. The thing that qualifies these men to represent all of the American citizens are the education and the speeches of helping of the candidates and for maybe some candidates could have been the wealth.

I think people choose the wealthiest people to run our country because when we think about poor peopl we think about , how they may not be as smart, or how the look and act. Their money makes them more qualified .

Well let me start off by saying what helps these men get into office is that the voters do not know the background of whom they are voting for. For instance, before Newt Gingrich outed Mitt Romney he kept in the fact that he is a part of the wealthier 1% of this country though he acts as if he isn't. John F. Kennedy's family was rich off of illegal distribution alcohol during prohibition. You can call it dirty money. But I don't really mind if my president is rich. Most of our presidents have separate careers and that's why we vote for them in the first place. These careers happen to be high-paying. I'm not really as concerned about your bank account as I am about your moralities and background. Money is not a key factor, as long as you have the common smarts and morals as the average citizen then you have my vote.
