Occupy Wall Street
Do you know what Wall Street is? Right now there are protests going on around the country for Americans to take back Wall Street. Hundreds of people have been arrested for protesting in New York City, Boston, San Fransisco, and even D.C.
Look up the Occupy Wall Street movement and write 4-6 sentences that explain what this group's purpose is, what is their concern, how they are attempting to make their voices heard, and any other significant information relevant to their cause.

Kayla Jackson 2B The purpose of this group is to make two issues important. These issues are that bankers and brokers are benefitting on the backs of harworking people and people are not getting equal opportunities. They are attempting to make their voices heard by encouraging other accross the country to protest. In my opinion, these people have the right to stand up for what they believe. If the issue continues to get pressed, the government has no choice but to give what they are saying a chance.
The purpose of these advocate groups are to make two very important issues heard and to have something done about the issues/concerns. The issues that were being discussed and protest about were that bankers and brokers are benefitting on the backs of the hardworking American citizens and also the people are not getting equal opportunities. They are attempting to make their voices heard by encouraging other accross the country/nations to protest. In my very own opinion, these people have the absolute right to stand up for what they feel is right and for what they believe in. If the issue continues to get pressed on, the government has no choice but to give the people what they have been protesting about a chance and listen to what they have to say about it.
Thier purpose is to make these issues known and they are trying to do something about the issues. They protest against a lot of government issues. The protesters have protested in over 50 states. In one example they dressed up as zombies and stood outside a bank and protested for hours.
The purpose of this group is to address many important government issues. They are mainly protesting against social and economic inequality, corporate greed, and the influence of corporate money and lobbyists on government. They are attempting to make their voices heard by protesting and encouraging people all over the world to join them. I believe the people should continue what they are doing. After a while the government will have no choice but to listen to them and negotiate with their demands.
The purpose of this group is because these protesters are sick of these greedy stockbrokers, CEO's etc. on Wall Street. These citizens want their voice to be heard and want Wall Street to be reformed which is crazy. This country is based of of capitalism which is nothing but greed. These citizens have lived here their whole lives and are now acting like they don't know the deal(to be honest their starting to sound like commies). Somebody needs to put their foot down and shut these protests down because their boycotting all over the country and it's getting out of hand. As a matter of fact their in the nation's capital today so I'll go check it out.
The purpose of this group is to make there voices heard about issues that need to be solved. They protest about global warning, corporate greed, gas prices, etc. They are protesting around the world making there voices be heard on issues that should have been looked at. They think the government should have been found the solution to these problems instead of sitting around doing nothing. There protest has became an movement because so many people feel the same way and the movement is growing. Rayven Jones 2A
The protests in Wall Street have been because the group called Occupy Wall Street are protesting because of economic inequality. Occupy Wall Street want the "big people" to start paying, such as bankers, CEO's, etc. I agree with the protesters, we're getting taxed and charged while the people in "business" dont worry about any of that.
